Founded by the late Pearse Lyons and his wife Deirdre in 2017, Pearse Lyons Distillery (PLD) is a vibrant tourist attraction located in Dublin’s Liberties. Housed inside the Church of St James’, PLD offers the unique experience of a guided tasting tour of its working distillery.

THE OPPORTUNITY
Pearse Lyons Distillery saw an opportunity to increase brand awareness of as a tourist attraction in Dublin. Pearse Lyons Distillery had to understand a tourist’s path to purchase and where they fitted into that decision-making process.
THE CHALLENGE
The advisors explored the general trends and patterns within the Dublin tourism industry by investigating a number of key factors. Once the advisors understood the decision-making process of tourists visiting attractions in Dublin, they identified the key success factors for the choice of a particular attraction. This enabled the MDP to assist Pearse Lyons Distillery in allocating their marketing budget to effectively tailor future marketing strategies.
