Ceol Connected (CC) was set up in 2011 and seeks to create meaningful and memorable experiences for young audiences, deriving inspiration from the creative arts. These experiences comprise of albums, events and shows which work alongside a range of schools, third-level institutions, organizations and artists. In 2020, CC produced their album ‘Treehouse’.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Although CC have been successfully running school and festival events since its launch with the aid of government and community funded initiatives, they were looking to expand the business through their new brand ‘SongTales’.

​​The client approached the UCD Marketing Development Practice to develop a marketing and communications strategy for their new product the ‘Treehouse’ music box under CC’s new brand SongTales as well as a music subscription service.

THE CHALLENGE

The MDP evaluated the current environment that Ceol Connected operated in and evaluated unique elements that Treehouse has offered to the target market, utilising this information to develop a go to market strategy for the launch of the first SongTales music box.

THE RESULTS

The client found the research very relevant for their business and intends to launch the first Treehouse-themed SongTales music box based on the research that the MDP provided
